Like anything that people use, Blackboard also requires maintenance. Imagine if roads, bridges, and electrical systems never received maintenance. You would be driving on pitted roads only to cross crusty bridges that are buckling under the weight of your vehicle, and throughout the journey, you would be dodging downed power lines. Not fun, unless you enjoy that sort of thing.
Make sure to remember that the Blackboard servers come down once a week on Sunday between 4:00am - 6:00am for standard maintenance.
